Kaiyah Neal, 21, was arrested by members of the Baltimore Police Department following a months-long investigation into an incident that left a 28-year-old woman with multiple stab wounds to her head late last year, authorities announced on Friday.

According to police, on Oct. 29, 2023, Neal was involved in an argument with her victim in the 900 block of Appleton Street, during which she produced "a sharp-edged weapon" and stabbed a woman in the head multiple times.

Neal was identified as a suspect and arrested without incident. She was taken to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where police say she was charged with attempted first-degree murder.
